Top 5 Avengers Salaries

Life is never complete without its challenges.

-Stan Lee

Have you ever wondered how much the MCU actors/actresses actually make? Who is the highest paid Avernger? Me too! So I figured that I would do the research for you instead. I have always been intrigued by the MCU along with all of their characters and I’ve always wondered how much they actually make. All/most of my information that I am using is from another source called IGN. If you are interested in the other Avenger characters that are not included here click the link to be transferred to their page for more information. I hope you enjoy finding out more information on MCU’s richest actors/actresses!

Number 1

Robert Downey Jr.- Iron Man

Downey was pulling in $75 million for 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, which is the most noteworthy netting film ever. Downey apparently rounded up $20 million in advance for Endgame and afterward an extra $55 million in a back-end bargain that gave him 8% of the film’s benefit.

Number 2

Chris Evans- Captian America

Evans made just 1 million for Captian America: The First Avenger, then when the “time heist” of the Avengers: Endgame, Evans was making $15 million for each Avengers showing.

Number 3

Scarlett Johansson- Black Widow

After Johansson appeared in Iron Man 2, Johansson reportedly earned $400,000. Before everything was settled, like Evans and Hemsworth, she was making $15 million an Avengers film. Now she’s expected to make around $20 million for Black Widow. Scarlett will reportedly be getting a pay raise according to We Got This Covered after her solo movie Black Widow will hit theaters in July making her one of the highest paid female actress in Hollywood.

Number 4

Chris Hemsworth- Thor

Hemsworth made $150,000 for 2011’s Thor but since then he has been making $15 million an MCU film since 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.

Number 5

Mark Ruffalo- The Incredible Hulk

Mark Ruffalo replaced The Incredible Hulk’s Edward Norton as Bruce Banner in The Avenger and made around $2 to $3 million during that movie. Assuming Ruffalo made a lot more for Ragnarok, Infinity War, and Endgame but those numbers haven’t been reported. He may or may not have a similar deal to Hemsworth, Johansson, and Evans.

Top 5 – Dungeons and Dragons Classes

Dungeons and Dragons – a tabletop roleplaying game that is extremely popular with me and the group of individuals I call my friends. I have been playing for around 5 or 6 years now (which seems like forever ago given the current scope of the world). In my time playing, I have developed a list of what I believe to be the classes that are great… at least in my (un)professional opinion.

Also keep in mind that these classes are only from the base version of Dungeons and Dragons edition 3.5e (in other words, no DLC).

1) Rogue

The Rogue was a class I did not expect to have much fun with at first. It honestly seemed to be a bit boring to me. I made my first Rogue character for a friend’s campaign after he had convinced me to branch out with my class choices. This first Rogue I made was a half-elf named Saoirse. I was hesitant since I had only played Rangers up until this point. But, as it turns out, I love this class a lot! The sheer amount of skills that the character gets per level alone is the most appealing to me. They get a lot of options when it comes to choosing said skills. Rogues, as I eventually figured out, are just more skillful Rangers with a bit more advantages in things like languages. Despite being known as petty thieves in the lore, there is so much more that one can do with a Rogue! For instance, my current Rogue only joined up with her guild because she needs to get money to protect her family.

2) Ranger

The Ranger was the first Dungeons and Dragons class I ever played. I was told by a friend of mine that the class was the easiest to pick up on as a beginner to the game. And, in my opinion, he was correct. The limited skill pool allows for a beginner to keep a good handle on the skills. The class also has an animal companion, making it akin to the Druid (which is next on this list) but at a later level. The favored enemy aspect of the class can also make for an interesting point in which to base the character’s backstory. One of my favorite parts of making Dungeons and Dragons characters is creating the actual character themselves. Having that foundational support from the class is very helpful in writing a clear and concise backstory for the character. It’s also fun when they get spells later on, but spells are a lot more complicated to keep track of (especially in the case of an inexperienced player).

3) Bard

The Bard class is very fun! I’ve only played a couple of Bards, but I can say with certainty that they are very fun. Their alignments can be anything non-Lawful (which is part of the fun). They have a slightly larger skill pool than Rangers, but a smaller pool than Rogues. They are the resident musicians (typically) and can often be the most chaotic members of their party. They do get spell slots like a few of the classes in the base Dungeons and Dragons game, but they really only have to keep track of a few. They are charismatic and can often be the bane of a Game Master’s existence (as my friend learned first-hand by allowing almost all of us to be Bards). As a musician myself, I do adore the class. However, I still rank Rogue and Ranger above it because I’m not fond of playing a spellcaster.

4) Druid

dungeons and dragons druid
An example of a Druid from D&D Beyond (A website made specifically for hosting and creating characters).

I have very little experience playing a Druid character. The one chance I had to play a Druid was short-lived as the character was taken down before the party reached level 5. However, from what I do know about the class, I do prefer Ranger over Druid. This does not mean that the Druid class is inherently bad. They have a small skill pool. But what they lack in skills they gain in spell slots. It’s definitely not a class for beginners (same can be said about any spellcaster class honestly). My favorite part of the class, however, is the animal companion. Since the Druid class gets an animal companion at level 1, it’s a good piece to have in their backstory. However, my biggest issue with the class is the restrictions on character alignment. Druids are reserved to mostly non-Chaotic alignments (aside from Chaotic Neutral). As someone who doesn’t play a lot of Lawful-aligned characters, this doesn’t particularly appeal to me. But it can still be fun!

5) Cleric

The Cleric is probably the class on this list that I have the least experience with. I’ve really only played two Clerics, but one of them was a multi-classed character (they also had levels in Ranger due to the nature of the character). Clerics are spellcasters with probably one of the most restrictive alignment decisions in the entire game (aside from the Paladin [which I don’t really play because I’m not a fan of the class]). Their alignment must be that of their chosen deity or must be within one step on the chart of that deity’s alignment. This class is definitely not for beginners with the large spell pool and the concept of Domains. They have very little in the way of skills, but that is due to their spellcasting ability. Playing a Cleric can be very fun depending on the deity chosen for the character to worship. But, with a lot to keep track of, it might get a bit difficult as the character goes up in level.

My Top 5 Musicals

1. Chicago

https://open.spotify.com/track/3cGmUgp7hF5Eb8NyuEmtCA?si=e6a72e04b5ca4ad1

I like Chicago the most, Kander’s music and Ebb’s lyrics, combined with choreographer Bob Fosse. Chicago demonstrates not only a revolution in ideology, but also in its revolutionary music and choreography, illustrated through jazz sounds, innovative rhythms, and witty lyrics.

2.Grease

https://open.spotify.com/track/6X1D6qbVmK48uoOD9nIvVV?si=3770a26914d94ad0

Before “Grease” became a movie-musical sensation in the late 1970s, it was a Tony-nominated Broadway musical that opened in February 1972. Additionally, in 2016, Fox aired its “Grease Live!” television special, based on the musical, starring Aaron Tveit, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Keke Palmer.

3. Cats

https://open.spotify.com/track/1pEeWKbTCtRsjtyG9Jxp7L?si=5a80f9d8ffda4782

“Cats” is the first musical I watched, and it was the musical that got me into musical theater. The exaggerated makeup and vivid physical performance of the actors captivated me. This is definitely a musical worth going into the theater to watch.

4. Rent

https://open.spotify.com/track/5gw8HNcrqliEw0X6pPrPvG?si=b01775b692d5456e

“Rent” moved to Broadway and went on to win the Tony Award for Best Musical that year. It was a piece about difference and people ‘going against the grain’. With Angel (one of the characters), the musical plants the seeds of transgender activism, which is a full-blown movement today as well as overall LGBTQ awareness.

5. Hairspray

https://open.spotify.com/track/6eUBS5Usu8k9YKaYTnvFbo?si=1168685677e843b3

What makes Hairspray so unique as a musical production is that it’s originally based on a 1988 film by John Waters, yet it takes place in the 1960’s — hence, the song title “Welcome To The 60’s” — before making its Broadway debut in 2002. Hairspray is still captivating audiences with its culturally relevant themes and inspiration.

My Top 5 Musicals

There are many musicals that have been produced over the years. Most people would say that when they think of the word “musical” they think of High School Musical or yet another Disney movie that includes a variety of songs. While all of those movies are well and good, I decided to list my own top five real musical productions.

1. Dear Evan Hansen

Dear Evan Hansen is my favorite musical of all time. It is about Evan Hansen (played by Ben Platt) who recently has broken his arm. He lives with his mom, who is a single mother and a nurse. Evan is a socially awkward and anxious person, so his therapist suggests to write encouraging letters to himself. As Evan is printing off one of these letters in his high school’s computer lab, Connor Murphy (played by Colton Ryan) runs into the computer lab and sees the letter. The letter mentions Evan’s crush on Connor’s sister, Zoe (played by Kaitlyn Dever). Believing that he is being teased, Connor leaves the lab with the letter in his fist. He later commits suicide, while still gripping the letter.

Evan finds himself in a situation where Connor’s family believes that Evan was Connor’s only real friend in the world. Evan creates a web page in Connor’s name, and feels as though he’s been accepted into a “real” family, even having a moment with Zoe’s father in the song, “To Break in a Glove.” In short the musical covers topics from suicide, to mental illness, to what makes a family, and how to find others when you feel alone in the world.

I highly highly recommend you give it a listen.

2. Alexander Hamilton

It’s no surprise that Alexander Hamilton is on this list. Besides the rhythmic lyrics, pop, and rap songs, the musical is known for having one of the most diverse casts in the world of musicals. The song, “Satisfied” has been played about a million times or more on Spotify, making it the most popular song in the musical.

Alexander Hamilton, is well, about Alexander Hamilton (played by Lin-Manuel Miranda), one of America’s founding fathers. It follows his life from when he was an immigrant coming to New York City and includes some of his childhood in the song “Alexander Hamilton,” to his death, when he was shot by Aaron Burr (Leslie Odom Jr.). The musical includes dates, places, and makes the historical figures come to life in dance and song. This musical can and will help the American Revolution be more memorable to you for that history test you haven’t studied for.

If that doesn’t spark your interest, I don’t know what will.

3. The Newsies

You’re probably thinking, “Hang on, wait a minute. Isn’t The Newsies a Disney production? Wouldn’t this be just another High School Musical?” And to that I say, yes The Newsies is a Disney production, however, this musical is as far from the cheesiness of any other Disney movie, such as High School Musical.

The Newsies was the first major musical production I ever heard. I will admit, I did watch the movie version first, with Christian Bale as the lead (isn’t that guy Batman, anyway?). Then I found the beautiful Broadway version, and in my personal opinion, it is so much better.

The Newsies follows a young man, Jack Kelly (Jeremy Jordan) through the streets of 1899 New York City. At that time, boys and young men who were orphaned and poor sold newspapers to make some money. This earned them the name “newsies.” Unfortunately, the newsies would have to pay for the newspapers that they took to sell and make up the difference in wages on their own. This gives Joseph Pullitzer (John Dosett) an unfair advantage when he decides to raise the price the newsies pay for his newspapers in order to make more money. This infuriates Jack, who persuades his friends into having a strike against Pullitzer. The musical includes colorful characters, a love story, and an encouraging plot that lifts up the underdogs.

If you get a chance to watch it on a streaming service, such as Netflix, I highly suggest you do so. The creative and complicated dance moves, such as the tap dancing in “King of New York,” will knock your socks right off. And maybe a shoe.

4. Hadestown

Hadestown is a treasure that I stumbled upon a couple years ago. I was on YouTube watching little animations when a suggestion for an animated “Wait for Me” popped up. The title intrigued me, as did the animation style, and my life was never the same.

Do you like the southern style? Are you interested in Greek mythology? If you answered yes to both of those questions, this is the musical for you. Hadestown focuses on a retelling of the Greek tale “Orpheus and Eurydice.” Hermes is the narrator here and he opens up with a wedding between Orpheus and Eurydice. Persephone is among them as a wedding guest, and she is living her best life “up on top.” In this musical, Hadestown refers to a railroad town (ironically) six feet under the ground. The people there work to build a wall and electricity for the rest of their lives, having a way to secure themselves also for the rest of their lives.

When the train from Hadestown arrives to pick up Persephone in the song “Way Down Hadestown,” she speaks her unhappiness very clearly. It even goes over to the next couple of songs, in which she and Hades argue about Hadestown. Hades decides that if Persephone won’t appreciate his work, someone else will.

He finds a just-married Eurydice in the forest. In the song, “Hey Little Songbird,” Hades gives Eurydice the option of joining Hadestown and having security all of her life. The choice is easy for Eurydice because even though she loves Orpheus, he has not made much money to keep her warm, to feed her, or to take care of her. Instead, he only sings songs. She agrees to go to Hadestown, and the Fates warn the audience not to judge her for it in “Gone, I’m Gone.”

In “Wait For Me,” which is my favorite song of this musical, Orpheus goes after his love, and hopes he can bring her back. I won’t give away any spoilers, but those of you who are Greek mythology lovers already know.

The original cast recording is available on Spotify (wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

5. Be More Chill

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you my final musical, Be More Chill. This one might actually be underrated and even though it is last on this list, it certainly is not least.

This humorous musical follows a high school boy named Jeremy Heere (Will Connolly) and his best friend, Michael (George Salazar). Jeremy believes that high school is a nightmare (which, yeah it is) and sometimes he wishes he could be a cool kid, or more chill, as he calls it. He signs up for a school play during lunch because his crush, Christine (Stephanie Hsu and Katie Ladner) signed up for it. He wants to admit his feelings for her, but can’t seem to do so.

Not long after this, he has a strange encounter with his bully, Rich. Rich explains to him of a “Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor” or S.Q.U.I.P. that he implanted in his brain that tells him what to do and how to (you guessed it) be more chill. Jeremy agrees to this, even though he has to pay six hundred dollars for it. After he hands the money to Rich at the mall, Rich gives him a pill that he has to swallow with regular Mountain Dew in order to activate it. It takes a little bit, but the S.Q.U.IP. becomes active in Jeremy’s system just before he tells Christine about his crush on her.

The musical gets as chaotic from there as Jeremy listens and interacts with something he can only hear and acknowledge. He makes decisions based on the S.Q.U.I.P.’s advice, which you probably guessed, is no good.

Be More Chill hilariously brings up a way to discuss mental illness, the pressure of high school, and even being a true best friend.

Don’t leave this musical on your list of what to listen next.

Top 5 Melissa McCarthy Movies

Melissa McCarthy is one of my favorite actresses. I have put together a list of my top five favorite Melissa McCarthy movies.

5. Spy

Spy came out in 2015. In this film Melissa McCarthy plays Susan Cooper, a CIA analyst working with an agent on missions. When he is assassinated she makes her way into going out on a mission to avenge her fellow agent. I enjoyed this movie because of all the disguises she tries to go under and they are just not fitting her personality.

4. Life of the Party

Life of the Party came out in 2018. Melissa McCarthy plays Deanna a mom of a college daughter and a wife of of her long time love. When she gets news that her husband wants a divorce, she makes the decision to back to college. This movie had me dead with laughter. She is so energetic and excited about going to school with her daughter. She really is the life of the party! It’s funny and awkward at times, but I love it.

3. The Heat

The heat came out in came out in 2013. Melissa McCarthy plays Shannon a potty mouth hot-headed detective. She teams up with Sandra Bullock who plays FBI agent Sarah, who is a polar opposite of Shannon. The two of them work together to take down a drug lord, and overtime become good friends. I love how Sandra Bullock is such a know it all and thinks she can do anything on her own, but with the help of a freaking crazy detective they take down a drug lord.

2. Tammy

Tammy came out in 2014. Melissa McCarthy plays Tammy a burger joint worker who’s life is suddenly falling apart. Her and her grandma Pearl take a road trip to get away from the mess at home. I love the relationship that Tammy has with her grandma, and the crazy adventure they go on. My personal favorite part is where they are singing together.

1. Identity Thief

Identity Thief came out in 2013. Melissa McCarthy plays Diana an identity thief who loves to spend money on all things. When she steels the identity of a man in Denver, Sandy, he goes to Florida to bring her back to clear his name. I love this movie! I enjoy every time that Diana throat punches people and how she makes him a little more relaxed.

Top 5 Battle Royale Games

The origins of battle Royale Games are manifold, but what they involve is largely the same: lots of players go in, only one leaves. One battle in any one of these games can be as long as 30-45 mins. Battle Royale is a violent, unpredictable, and frenzied multiplayer mode where the only goal is to endure until you’re the sole survivor.

Sid’s Top Picks –

1. PubG – Player Unknown’s Battleground

Player Unknown’s Battleground – PubG

PubG is one of the first battle royale games and my most favorite even today in 2021. I’ve been playing this game since season 2 and it just keeps getting better. I started playing PubG on the Asia server since I was in India back then when this game first started. Now that I am here in the United States, the gameplay is a little different on the North American server but it is still fun. This game is not very popular here compared to other battle royales but I still love it more than any other Battle Royale.

Difficulty level – 3/5

2. Call Of Duty: WARZONE

I simply love the graphics on this game and how real it feels. If you’re looking for a simple game where the zone is incredibly lethal, there’s no camping in the gas meta, armor plates cover your whole body so you don’t need to worry about helmets, and health regenerates just as it does in multiplayer. So if you’re looking for a free battle royale game that’s fast-paced and accessible then Warzone is one of the best options out there.

Difficulty level – 4/5

3. Apex Legends

Apex Legends

If you’re looking for a Robo-type game where the guns are all high-tech and unrealistic, this is the game for you. Your aim needs to be really good and the movements should be quick. Basically, Movement sets the tone of the gunplay, too: if your team successfully flanks another in a well-timed push, you earn their bounty.

Difficulty – 5/5

4. Hyper Space

Hyper Space

I haven’t personally played this game but on reviewing closely, it makes to the list of my top 5 battle royals. The graphics are incredible. For everyone who likes fantasized games, far from reality, this is for you. It is a Tron-inspired world with fast-paced gameplay. It feels like everything in Hyper Scape has been tuned to ensure you’re always occupied, which makes it a great battle royale if you don’t like spectating your friends after being eliminated.

Difficulty – 4/5

5. Fortnite

A lot of people are going to hate me for this but it is what it is. I am not a huge fan of Fortnite. It’s just too much for me personally. Building all the things and then breaking them down. 10/10 for the concept, graphics, and creativity but it just feels very unreal to me. I get that people say “well it’s a game, they’re supposed to be unreal” but I’ve never been a fan of Fortnite. The Fortnite vs PubG isn’t going to be settled any time soon, so just be grateful we have two spectacular survival shooters to revel in.

Difficulty – 5/5

Top 5 One Direction Songs

My opinion of what the best all-time One Direction songs are. I have sat and listened to every song on repeat for years. I may be a little rusty but I used to be able to name the song within the first seconds of it playing.

#5 – A.M

This song was one of the songs when the band was just down to four. From the album Made in The A.M released 2015. It is a great song to play mid-cry sesh in your dark room.

#4 – 18

This was a song on their fourth album Four. The last album where Zayn was still in the band. Released in 2014. Another heartbreak song. Didn’t become as good to me until i actually turned 18 and could understand.

#3- Midnight Memories

A true bop on their third album Midnight Memories, released in 2013. This is a faster upbeat song, usually starts the car trip. FULL BLAST yelling “MIDNIGHT MEM-OR-IES

#2 – Truly Madly Deeply

This is my go-to cry song. On their 2nd album Take Me Home released in 2012, is an extra song on only the “Expanded Version”. This is the song I want to have my dance to at my wedding!

#1- No Control

This is the number one song because of its ability to get even non-Directioners to jam. On their fourth album Four, this is a song that is always played at full blast with the whole car singing.

MY TOP 5 MOVIES

My personal top 5 movies I love

5. BUMBLEBEE THE MOVIE

Bumblebee is a very good movie and gives the live-action Transformers Movies a good name after Michal Bay’s Mediocre to horror movies.

I suggest giving this movie a watch because it focuses on one character and one only, Bumblebee. This story is somewhat a soft reboot as it takes the formula that Michal Bay had on it and simply puts a G1 spin to the narrative, making it one of the best transformers movies.

4. Evangelion: The End of Evangelion

A movie that dives deep into Shinji’s mind and goes into more detail from the end of Evangelion Episode 26.

I suggest watching the whole series before watching this movie. The series may be about teenagers fighting off godly beings in their mechs but the series and movie dive deep into what makes us human and what kind of issues we pose within humanity.

3. Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith

Amazon.com: Star Wars - Episode III - Revenge of The Sith Poster Poster Print, 23x34: Posters & Prints
One of if not the best Star Wars Movie of all time! Used to love this as a kid

This movie was ahead of its time and the storytelling about how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader was brilliant. I love how the films and shows it explains and shows why Anakin turned to the Darkside and turned to Darth Vader.

2. Avengers: Endgame

A final end to the original avengers

A great conclusion the 3rd phase of the MCU. This movie was a perfect send-off to some of the main cast and was really fun to see all the core heroes from all these come together to face-off Thanos.

1. The Bee Movie

If you think I’m joking then you guessed wrong

The bee movie in my personal opinion is the best form of a film of all time, and yes it’s better than all of the MCU. The story about Berry Bee Benson is great and it helped me understand how bee’s live within this world and how one bug can change the world.

PGA Tour Top 5 and their Masters Performance

Golf is a game where everyone can play, but it is hard to be good at

These are some the games best golfers we have seen in a long time. In this group of guys someone has the longest drive distance average, to somebody that just has everything it takes to win a masters. These are the games greatest golfers today.

Dustin Johnson: 11.067 avg points

While expected to perform really well in the masters this weekend as the former winner, he couldn’t even make the cut as he got cut and couldn’t even make it in the top 50 and finished with a score of five over for the weekend.

Justin Thomas : 9.310 avg points

The second-best player in all of the PGA fell short this weekend in the Masters tournament and finished tied for 21st.

John Rham: 8.528 avg points

John Rham had a rough start to the masters but when he was in the 4th and final round of the masters. Before he started the day, he was even overall and then came back to finish six-under for the day and finish in 5th place which is a good finish after a rocky start.

Collin Morikawa: 7.380 avg points

As the fourth-best golfer in the world, Collin was projected to have a great tournament in the masters, as he didn’t play absolute terrible and finished tied for 18th he came away with a great decent payout and finished two-under for the tournament.

Bryson DeChambeau : 7.305 avg points

DeChambeau was predicted to at least have a top 10 finish in the tournament. As the play went on, he kind of fell off. He was sitting in the top 15 and on days 3 and 4 his score plummeted as he finished tied for 46th on the tournament. He will not be playing in the next tournament and hopefully will be finding a way to prove his game in the irons. A well-respected golfer with demolishing drives. He will be back soon.
